Our children’s ministry classes are held every Sunday during the 10:00 am service. Children ages 4 through 8th grade follow a member of the clergy out of the church after the first hymn. There are two age based classes that then meet for 30 to 45 minutes. The children then return to the church for communion with the congregation.
The Atrium
For children ages 4 through 3rd grade. The curriculum combines the teachings of Holy Scripture and the liturgy of our church worship with hands-on materials that help the children to experience the lesson in the way children learn best: by interacting with it. The classroom, called an atrium, is a special place prepared for the children with many hand-made materials.
The Pre-Teen Class
For children in grades 3 through 8. This class follows Living the Good News, a lectionary based curriculum that is based on the same readings being used in each Sunday’s service. Each Bible based lesson is led by the teacher but interacts with the children through educational based exercises and activities. Living the Good News uses a variety of learning media, including music, art, oral, visual and movement, which appeal to the learning styles of all ages and types of students.
The Teen Class
All Saints' has a rich history of youth ministry. In 2016 we reinvented the teen ministry. This group will meet outside of Sunday mornings for shared community time. Commonly referred to as the "Youth Group," the teen ministry is a place for teens to come and explore their faith, build lasting relationships and learn the principles of discipleship. The teen ministry will be a combination of reflections, fun, prayer, fun, diocesan events, fun, service projects, fun, fund raisers, fun and fun. We may even sneak in some fun!
